Is Colonia reachable

I'm currently enroute to Colonia in my DBX with no modifications and have exactly 36LY jump range.

I must say the number of times I have to divert off course to find a system where I can scoop up the fuel is quite frequent. Now I don't know anything about neutron jumping but is there a guidance or even a map on how to reach Colonia using the non-neutron means of getting there?

Thanks in advance.

When you plot a route, filter by scoopable stars. KGBFOAM
36Ly is plenty as long as you aren't too high up to too far down.

Did it in a 17ly Python, point your nose down, travel 50-100ly, try again, the dwarf star fields seem to run in layers, you are stuck in one probably. I hit a few on my way there but there is a level you can hit where it's pretty clear all the way there.

set your route plotter to scoop able starts only and replot the route I'm doing the whole thing in a 17ly Sidey :)

I did it quite comfortably in my cobra with 36ly range...
I filtered the map for A,F,G & non sequence stars..
(Better chance of hitting elw's)
Found 22 elw & 98 water worlds on the route there....

Thanks all, Now to plot into the right direction. I seem to go the wrong way :(
I so wish I could plot further than 1000ly at a time.

I had that issue as well. Try aiming at certain poi like nebula. There are also like 6 stations about 2000 ly apart I can't find the link atm but it's helpful as a guide. Good luck and stay out of the stars

Here's some tips from what I did when I went there:

1. Have Colonia bookmarked
2. Turn the map around so that you are facing the bookmark
3. Move forward across the map, occasionally hovering over a star to see the distance and plot when it gets just under 1000ly
4. Zoom out a bit if the forward direction is moving too slowly

Thanks for the comments. I've backtracked to Hilary Depot in the Blu Thua AI-A c14-10 system collected another 980,000 credits for my exploration which included some 80,000 credits for being first at locations on the way.
Now plotting towards Colonia. Well I hope. I'm aiming towards Lagoon Sector NI-S b4-10 (Amundsen Terminal) which is approx 2,405ly away.

The closer you are to galaxy center the density of stars is grater with such jump range you should be OK.

I'm currently heading out to CRAB pulsar (from Bernard's Loop) and star density there is not so great, especially between two arms, but my Cobra MK3 with 32Ly range is doing well so far...

Once I reach pulsar I will most likely head down to Colonia and then to SAG A....

I made it in a 23ly sidewinder.

I had no issues with plotting.

Have you started heading down to early? I stayed at z coordinate of around 0 until I hit the core area (approx 12-15kly out) and then headed down gradually.

So far so good. I filtered the map down to KGBFOAM stars and so far no issues scooping fuel enroute.

I started from roughly the same place, Bernard's loop, down to the crab and now zig zagging generally away from the bubble. I'm just over 10k ly out, and it's pretty much still very dark generally. I run a pc and even with gem fx and shader 2 running in the background it's still generally murky . Apparently the stars get more dense around the 20k mark, I'm looking forward to seeing that.

It's an interesting track I've took, I've only come across two systems that had previously been explored in the two weeks I've been out .

Good luck o7

Next trip Eagle's Landing – Eagle Sector IR-W d1-117. Have collected another 3 million credits at Amundsen Terminal which included some 280k credits for first discoveries.

on a practice run, I stopped at a little country filling station, rolled down the windar, Asking how to git to koloneEa,

They replied, "Kan't git there from here".. on earth that happened to me in Kentucky. These jokers are everywhere..:D

I'm just heading off to Colonia so will be packin' my dueling banjo...we don't take kindly to strangers round here:)

Another thing to consider is that there is a thick layer of brown dwarf stars around -50 Z from Sol. If you turn off all star types except L, T, Y, and proto while in the Galaxy Map, you will be able to visualize this layer. Avoid plotting your course along this layer. If you are in it. Adjust your course +/- 50 ly and you should find the density of the other star classes increasing. This will reduce the chance that the route plotter will select one of these dwarf or proto stars.
