Is Combat Rank affected if you are in a Wing??

The reason I ask is that over the past few nights I have been winged up with a buddy killing everything in a HAZ REZ, not too mention the recent Morrina CG. It just seems that combat rank is going up slower as opposed to hunting solo. We are seeing many Elite/Deadly rated NPC's and just racking up the kills, so does it make a difference if you are winged up?

As I understand it, only the ship that gets the kill shot gets rank. So yes it does... someone else could come in and correct me though.

Not that I'm aware of. Indeed, I was of the impression that as long as you got a share of the bounty, you got 100% credit for the kill. However, it wouldn't surprise me if your experience were the actual case - it's easy to dominate even large wings of NPCs when you have a partner to draw fire and to double down on the threat. Why would that not reduce the effect on your combat ranking?

Therein lies the question since bounties are shared, are kills shared or split up, or based on who gets the killing blow? if shared, the kill goes to each member thus having no affect on rank. If split up then it affects rank, if it pertains to whom gets the kill shot, then one or the other could could be getting screwed.
