I was going to get it as I like a solid MP game. This sort of game having said that isn't my normal fare. I have not played the first and had limited interest in the second.
I then hesitated and watched the Mack "worth a buy" review and he basically ripped it apart for all the things that I detest in these sorts of games.

It's a decent enough game if you like what it offers. You get a nicely produced if cliché as hell story campaign, all the open world grind you could ever wish for, and weirdly satisfying arena PvP.
Yes! I'm having a blast! It is 80GB, but production values are through the roof and content is aplenty-- for 0 cash it's a steal. You can always delete it with no regret...
I second that strongly worded opinion.
It looks beautiful and its even fun at first but you soon realize how the game is lacking in almost every aspect and is at its core a hollow treadmill-grind that doesnt offer all that much. Or maybe I simply dont like this kind of gameplay anymore but then I do love Grim Dawn which is also grindy as hell so I dont think so.
Leveling doesnt really matter. The design philosophy is like Diablo or WoW. The game starts when you reach level cap which is IMO a lot of wasted potential already. Once you reach level cap tho the majority of the world loses its interest and validity as you will only visit and dabble in specific zones and group content anymore due to the drops. As i said its fun for a while but its not a keeper. At its core its a very shallow game and personally I dont care how much they improve the stock game with follow-up DLCs because each DLC costs almost as much as the base game and takes years to arrive. Destiny 2 doesnt offer enough to hold my interest during that time. I got the game on sale some time ago and I think I got my moneys worth. I m pretty much done with it tho and havent touched it for a few months already and have no interest to return.
