I just bought an MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G card as a present to myself. It replaced an older MSI R7850 Twin Frozr OC AMD Radeon 2GB card. Honestly after two days of watching my video lurch and freeze I've about had it. More than half of the video I recorded today for my E: D YouTube series is unusable because of quality issues, rubberbanding and other graphics stutter. I'd line up a ship in my crosshairs, squeeze the trigger just as it froze and my lasers would pass five ship widths away when it woke up. I'm sure Frontier does not want that sort of footage on YouTube...
To play the game successfully, do I need to re-install the two year old AMD video card I took out? With the AMD card I could process HD video in the background and still play the game smoothly. Now, even with nothing else running, I'm hitting all sorts of video issues. I have latest drivers and am running the recommended settings for the game in 1080 Ultra with no graphic mods. This issue only affects E: D. My other games run smooth as glass. E: D is occupying 9 - 22% of my CPU when running with no other process over 1% and there is only two of those.
Is there a fix in the works? Does Frontier even know what the issue is?
I'm happy to post a video showing these issues as I have about five hours recorded at 1080 and 30 FPS totaling about 600GB. I know this has been reported multiple times so do I even bother ticketing this?
I love this game, but man I cannot tell you just how frustrated I am.
