That's true, and it's a large part of why I like the game in spite of the mad combat.

When I get involved in CZ or Thargoid activity I always remind myself that the game is essentially "space fantasy" rather than "space sim".

True, it's not a realistic simulation. The term space-sim is still correct though since it's just the name of a genre that was mostly defined by Elite. This stuff happens a lot with language. Most people would say that Romeo and Juliet is a drama but Much Ado About Nothing isn't. They are both drama though, the former is a tragedy and the latter a comedy. Both, The English Patient and Zoolander are drama as well.
