Is Flight Assist off the new way to play ED?

It's the old way to play ED, but still the best.

Well worth practicing with flight assist off if you're interested in combat, because of the extra manoeuvrability that it gives you. The time between jumping in to normal space near a space station/outpost and landing is a great time to practice.

Try docking a Type 7 with flight assist and rotational correction off.

That's truly an interesting experience.

I was able to manage it with one or the other off. I've not managed it with both off.
