Is game vr lens swap still worth it for vive pro

Hi guys basically i figured alot of time has gone by for the people that has done the swap so ide like to know are you still happy with them?

im thinking about doing them but just wanted to make sure that there were not any eye strain problems with prolonged use and the difference they made was still worth the hasel of putting them in and doing barrel distortion fix .

Most happy with mine. Took a bit of tweaking to get rid of the warp effect but well worth the time spent. I now have cystal clear god ray free optics. Those vanilla lenses are god damn awful. If you are going to do it, my advice is to not use a pre-made profile and do the adjustments yourself, so do some reading on how it all works and the tools you'll need. Oh, and make sure you back up your original config files!

Definitely do it. I was fortunate enough that they worked really well with the distortion profile for the original Fresnel lenses. I spent a lot of time with the tool trying to improve it but ultimately ended up using the original profile as I only had a tiny bit of barrel distortion in menus.

It's not an improvement, it's a whole new experience - Elite looks stunning.

I changed to gearvr lenses early last year, and would not want to go back to the originals. It could be that not everyone sees an improvement due to installation issues, either lense holders, slight lense diferences, fitment or configuration file as the difference seems so big when does go right.

I didn't go down the route of adjusting the config myself, just installed the latest edited config I could find and maybe it was luck but the distortion across the fov is minimal. I found the ghosting from the original Fresnel lenses was more distracting.

From someone that has enjoyed the improvement I do agree- Elite does look stunning.
