Is it helpful to download C++ for Planet Zoo

In the Steam forums I've seen people who are having trouble with their game being told they should download the Microsoft C++, Basic, and other programming language helpers to see if this helps. It is my understanding that the Steamworks Common Redistributables does this for you and if people do download those it may be causing a conflict. I would like to hear from a developer to know for sure if this is necessary.

I'm using the information in this article and it seems it's not going to be helpful to download them separately.

I only recommend to download them separately if steam does not seem to install them on first launch. There is no need to 90 percent of the time. Hearing from the steam forums that it seems to be laptop users means steam may be running into issues with the free provided antivirus that could be blocking downloads through the firewall

Thank you for your reply. It seems lately to be recommended by some in the list of things to do, along with verifying your files. I am thinking this may cause more problems than it solves as the game may end up looking for these files in two places if it's being redirected and possibly cause a conflict. In addition it would cause people to have to keep current themselves with something that Steam does for you.
