Is it just me? Am I the only one?

Cant so much as take a leisurely stroll through the forums nowadays without tripping over some thargoid related thread...so much so that fer the first time in a long time, the forums have stopped being more fun than playing the game itself.

Maybe its just me or maybe I got too bitter over past slaps in the face...but Im just not getting this alien vibe at all. Its not a simple case of lacking some enthusiasm...I literally dont "get it" at all.

Im not being salty, just curious if its just me or if its more than just me...? In so much that Im doing my utmost to ignore and avoid the area, I am somewhat curious...can I avoid them entirely or will I be forced to deal with them eventually?

Place aint the same no more...its missing some the regulars and theres not much to laugh about anymore...everyones so bloody serious all the time.

I think Ill get off the forum roundabout soon and just be happy with playing me own game...that should make some here very happy indeed ^

Yes its getting annoying (oh damn I just posted alien base screenshot myself...) And my biggest issue with "alien update" is that you can only really see it on the forums, not in game unless you spoil yourself with exact location. If we had more clues in game, it would be much more interesting.

It's not just the forums. Discord has a lot of focus on Tharagoids as well. They don't hold an interest to me, so I just ignore the conversations and move on.

I bought yet another license and started him on his path to glory. That'll take my focus from chatting until this blows over.

When the update comes in, I will buy the weapon or whatever I have to do and go out and do the thing, until that time its all a bit meh. Cant be bothered looking around ancient ruins. When it happens I will get engaged with it, until then its all conjecture.

Don't worry Verm once released they'll probably be barely mentioned, suspense/mystery always trumps the actual events .

I wasnt expecting fanfares and aliens everywhere though...I avoid the majority of the thargoid discussion threads as it is...cant even get motivated to leave a sarcastic comment let alone join any debate. The whole thing just feels like it went right over my head and fer the first time in a year, Im bored with the forum and still playing the game every day...go figure ^

Anyway, carry on and all that, not wanting to take anyones little fantasy away...that is actually the reason I do avoid most those threads. But in creating this one...Im just curious as to how everyone else feels about them. Id be a lot more worried if I was the only one because that would tell me Ive lost my game mojo and the only cure to that is playing a different game.

And fer the first time in months, Im loving the game. I spent 5 hours last night just...jumping and scooping...the most tedious and boring fer many just putting the hammer down on the road to jacques...and fer some odd reason, Im actually enjoying it ^

The whole Thargoid thing is sort making me look at the ED shortcut on my desktop, but then I've watched OA's videos. I know it's not the same as seeing it for oneself but yeah the whole thing is more of a carrot and stick thing for me.

I dont really read any of the cannon or like threads not really my thing, but once the Thargoids get into the game, as in I can interact with them past something I'm better off watching on youtube just to save 5 hours of my life. I just hope it's not all locked behind a rng/engineers wall, I do know there are weapons just to be used on them but if they are behind said wall I dont think I'll bother.

I'm enjoying the forums tho, reading a lot from the PS4 subsection which has gone up and down seen the ohhh it's coming to the what the ... posts overall it's nice to read some fresh threads etc.

I trip over my dogs when making a bacon sarnie, doesnt mean I dont like them, means they merely inconvenient. Its a figure of speech not to be taken quite so literally, but hate them? No I dont hate them...I want to like them I really do...but then Im forcing meself to like them which defeats the purpose I would have thought.

Heatwave hasnt reached here yet fer which Im grateful...I suffer from heat intolerance so Ill be just as happy if it never arrives tbh...natures little sense of humor ^
