Is it just me or is ship exchange bugged?

Looking at the link:

I think it means your ship is worth more than the T9, so they give the difference in cash. In this case 22 mil. Note how you currently have 41 mil, and your end balance after the sale would be 63 mil, meaning you've earned 22 mil as well as bought the T9. This makes the Beluga you own actually 98 mill (76+22), which makes a lot more sense.

Edit: Oops, other way around, sorry. But my point still stands. You start at 41 mil and end at 63 mil, meaning you are gifted 22 mil on top of getting the new ship. This would mean the ship you are selling is worth 84+22= 106 mil, which still makes sense.

Well I have the Type 9 and was looking to swap it for a Beluga, but yes my ship is worth more than the Beluga (not by too much, but 15mil FSD and all the cargo racks etc. probably put it over 100mil), and I should have taken the screenshot while having the other option selected, but the exchange option was red, so that I could not do it. It was saying essentially that with an exchange I must still pay 62mil, despite having 40mil + a 100mil ship including parts.

I really don't think so, to help clarify I took another screenshot:

How is it possible to end up with 22mil on a 100+mil ship when exchanging with a sidewinder? I mean even if there were no parts on it and it was stripped bare I should be getting 65mil minimum...
