Is it just me or is the game getting worse and worse?

I have heard that network connectivity can cause all sorts of miseries.
My solid copper 30Mbs might be lame, but works like a lovable old steam engine. It might be worth investigating your connectivity.

Personally, if my PC is over 6 months since the last rebuild, I tear it down and start again from an OS s/w perspective - it works for me.

Hello, I was away from EDO for about a year. When I returned, I was (unpleasantly) surprised to see that the game runs much worse than before, which is commendable, considering that EDO has never been an example of stability and performance.

Is this just my perception or is it a trend that other players have noticed?

As for my computer, I far exceed the minimum and maximum recommendations.

Edit: The problems I face the most are unexpected game crashes (output to desktop), freezing, and server connection issues.
Must be you, a few updates back they fixed the framerate for CZ's even on my old potato.

I run an old PC with win10, and a poor Gforce 1060 (6gb only) - did stick some 32Gb of Ram and SSDs all drivers - I left Ody some 1 + 1/2 years ago, bc of poor FPS, but now, back after so much time, I was pleasantly surprised how smooth Ody is running on my PC ( decent board and a stronk AMD on it...) - I have a stable 90 fps, and the game never crash in any of my accounts ( one on steam other on Epic);
I am an old dude, and one of the things I learn is "do not improve something who is working good"; For this reson I do NOT make NVidia updates ( lol my driver is almost a year old, but is stable, the GPU never push above 65 ºC and the AMD processor is stable at 57-60 ºC - that when we have 40ª out here in Portugal - so yeah, I can say Ody codding did improve a lot in last year.

Performance wise no the games only improved in terms of frame rate and crashes since Odyseey was fixed, in terms of development I just think things are slow, no slower than they've always been but accept a long time ago that Elite makes money will continue to be worked on but isn't the money making cash cow for Frontier. I do like "MOST" of the new content but I'm still waiting for things like a proper PvE/PvP group board and better multiplayer tools. Still love the game and think its pretty good.

I disagree with that. I think there have definitely been points in time in the past when the game's development pace was much faster. But I assume there have also been more people working on it then.
