Recently I have had two ships blow up behind me just as I have shot them down to zero hull. But I don't think I got the bounty because there was no acknowledgement in the top right corner of the screen - is it a bug?

It was near space stations? There are some mysterious blowing ups and FD collecting tele metry. Could be ramming too.

They might have skidded along my shields a bit but not enough to damage my Asp (with shields up). Would that make a difference?

Sometimes ramming gets me a bounty, mostly not. From what you say Pecisk it shouldn't? Bother, another tactic to make up for my terrible piloting skills gone west!

When you attack, ramming ship and blowing it up should give you a bounty to cash in. However, when you attack someone else, just ramming alone isn't offense yet as far as I know.
