that thinks the new launcher is really, really bad/sad!
but even worse, has broken all of the custom control set up!

Be more specific, ED version, kind of errors, and put a ticket on that.

I personalley ED Gamma 1.05 find no problems there

Yeah I prefer the old one, this one's a bit in your face busy. It's just a launcher though.

my issue wasn't about, couldn't log in or indeed anything else technically related. it was about how damned badly/blatantly commercially designed the new launcher is!

but, in addition to that I did throw in the comment about my warthog control setup no longer working! my bad for mixing things up! sorry for any confusion caused.

still think new launcher is pretty damned bad mind : )

Had no problems what so ever. New launcher installed fast, Elite Dangerous 'splash screen' came up faster than before, The 'Start/Options/Tutorials' screen came up faster than before. I checked my options; Custom Joystick controls were just as I left them. Started the game and chose Solo, (very fast). I was in space away from the 'Outpost' starter station, where I expected to be. Pulled up the Galactic map, examined it completely (all was quick and smooth), I didn't notice any 'processor/hard drive churning' which I had noticed previously. Returned to my cockpit screen and pootled around a bit. No graphic problems. I did not leave the system yet though...
