Is it my eyes or as the 2.4 beta better graphics in my rift

I'm currently in a Type 6 for the next day or so and have noticed that there's much less glare from the interior lights inside the cockpit, and the brightness of the LAKON logo (forward of the sensor display) has been turned down quite a lot. I haven't tried my alt accounts DBX, but I'm hoping that it's been improved as well as that was one of the hardest cockpits to use for me so far as glare from the interior lights is concerned.

The hi-res screenshot functions again in VR, but it still needs work as the tiles don't stitch up properly yet and it now displays in portrait orientation, somewhere around 2:3 aspect ratio. I didn't save any of the samples I took, so can't remember the exact pixel dimensions.

Interior station graphics were already pretty good for me, but I'm looking forward to seeing if there's less blinking twinkling pixels on the exterior as I approach to dock.

Yeah big improvement here to, running a 1080 and had pretty good performance anyway but had a little stutter here and there, the update has smoothed it out nicely and you can really notice the Graphical improvements inside and around the Stations/ Bases.
I went to a few Engineer Bases tonight and thought they looked great flying around them! Looked like the AA was better to me.

I'm on a i56600 so not overclocked and Elite in VR has always run my CPU very high in Stations or around Rez sites, after the update though it's less demanding, really happy with it!

@Reido.
I'm pretty sure the lights look less blinding because the update disabled Bloom for VR as it was hard on the eyes.

I've been staring at these game screens so long my eyes are starting to fail.
Maybe a doctor can prescribe a VR headset for me to correct the problem.
Then I could get it covered under a health-care plan.

No difference from what I see and I'm appalled to see the poor performance when dropping from SC into a station is still present if not worse than before. Prior to 2.3 this did not happen.

In the patch notes under "VR" it says "We have disabled the bloom effect when using the VR graphical presets by default, as it could be a bit hard on the eyes". I'm using custom settings and the bloom is still enabled and the LAKON label is for sure much dimmer than the day before the patch, but the notes for the Type 6 don't mention any lighting changes.

On another note, I switched over to my alt's DBX and it's the same glarey mess it was before (mostly due to the bright blue lights under the console), but hopefully they'll tweak it in the future as further up in the patch notes it seems they've been doing some tweaks to the ships.
