Is it noticed that the fps have improved somewhat?

I had a feeling it was smoother, or at least on the level before the 1.6 update (which made performance worse for me). But that could be just a placebo.

Under 1.6 last week, I took my laptop to friends' to show them Planet Coaster, shutting it down for transport, and upon arrival and relaunch, my park was running 3x better than it ever has at home. Upon reversing my trip, once home, frame rate immediately returned to its more 'normal' chunky-blah speeds. I've been trying to replicate these off-home results with 1.7, but i'm close to just going over and packing up everything in, above, and under their entire place and hiking it all over to my place.

Should work like that, right? (jus'kiddin' on borrowing their electronics)
What i meant to conclude is ... Windows can just be random.

I have an i7-6700k and a GTX 1070 and have a 4k HDR Sony TV and manage to get only 16-21fps on my latest super park sandbox park (21 rides, 4k, higher settings shadow low water quality on ultra).

Am thinking of upgrading to an i7-8700k which has two more cores, and a GTX 1080 Ti.

However my current system can play a similar park on 1080p settings at 22-30fps.

At times I wish this game had Directx12 support, instead of the game only utilizing one of your CPU cores properly. Heard a 1080 Ti helps quite a bit. Even if it's a 15fps improvement, it helps.

I'm subscribed to a NZ Youtuber who plays Sims 4, and she has a 1080 Ti build. I'm a YouTuber too and I think the extra 2 cores on the 8700k will help with video editing. I use Power Director 16 and NVidia Shadowplay.

I haven't really checked for FPS performance, but I've noticed some better CPU performance with tracked rides/coasters since 1.7. I'm really thankful for it, because before that, I was having issues where just the mere existence of a coaster/tracked rides (regardless of if it was testing or closed/game was playing or paused) would send temperatures/usage soaring, but now usage/temps only go up when it is in test mode.
