Is it possible to find Black Holes without and Advanced discovery scanner?

I am near HIP 34707 where there is a Black Hole. I cannot find it however as i only have a basic discovery scanner. Can someone help me find it?

The basic discovery scanner can find anything the higher ones can, you just have to be closer to the object in question.

Possible yes, easy no.

If there are things orbiting the black hole, you can get an idea of where the black hole might be and ping away.

Also, if the black hole is in a companion orbit with the mainstar, you can get a big clue from the mainstar co-oribital line. It'll point you in the direction but you're on your own after that pretty much.
