Is it possible to find Black Holes without and Advanced discovery scanner?

I am near HIP 34707 where there is a Black Hole. I cannot find it however as i only have a basic discovery scanner. Can someone help me find it? :)

HOLLY: Well, the thing about a Black Hole, it's main distinguishing
feature, is it's black. And the thing about space, the colour of space, your basic space
colour, is its black. So how are you supposed to see them?

Sorry couldn't resist.

Possible yes, easy no.

If there are things orbiting the black hole, you can get an idea of where the black hole might be and ping away.

Also, if the black hole is in a companion orbit with the mainstar, you can get a big clue from the mainstar co-oribital line. It'll point you in the direction but you're on your own after that pretty much.
