Is it possible to list all the systems where a faction has influence?

I ask because I've discovered from the BGS live stream that sometimes a war that should break out between two factions doesn't happen because they're already at war in one of the other systems where they're based. I'd like to know all the places a particular faction is based so that I can check them all..

Hm, yeah it could be interesting, if factions that span across multiple systems, would have a 'busy' flag or such if they are doing something in other systems?

I mean the system already knows if or if they aren't busy doing something, so showing that they are doing something in another system, would be nice.

I suppose they could add a distant flag infront of it, so it went like.

If war in another system, in one of the systems they aren't at war in, it would say "Engaged in " in this case "Engaged in War"

Where it would just show "war" as currently, or maybe some other wording then engaged in?

Unfortunately the only way would be to check the surrounding systems to find them.

Eddb has a faction search which might be a good start but this probably just gives systems it rules or owns a station in as long as someone's updated the data. It wont list all systems unfortunately.

eddb.io only lists rulers.

You can get influence levels from the Galaxy map / system map.

But you have to visit the system to get the pending states.

If you're doing this, be prepared to travel.
Pack a lunch.

Today I've got some nice ham off the bone on Turkish bread with whole egg mayo, jarlsberg and leafy greens.

And a thermos of coffee.

Oh - in my nice shiny new All-A Alioth Asp that I bought with the 50MCr pay check I got for clocking Rank 5 in the defence of the Alliance couple of weeks back.

Thanks to all the Alliance and AEDC pilots who helped me make that personal goal while helping our cause.

A filter for a specific faction on the galaxy map would be a very nice feature.
I would also like to be able to see where all the factions that I am allied to friendly and/or hostile are present.

You can list the systems a faction is in.

You take a list, fly to systems up to 30ly, and you find one, you write it down.

O.k., rather bad joke.

But in the end it really comes down to that.
Good thing is, you only have to honk the systems to see the system map. Then its just an updating process.
We call it reconnaissance. Sounds far more sophisticated.

With the increase in expansion activity and spread over systems even we do sometimes not notice an ongoing third party conflict, which can easily put you back a week or more.

An Idea.
The Stations of a faction should list all other systems the Faction is in and what state each system is in for that faction.
Maybe that's just to hard to script for Fdev ?

I would also like to be able to see where all the factions that I am hostile to are present.

Wouldn't you just.

Snarking aside though, the BGS is a very covert environment.

If you barge around making a lot of noise, you end up scaring away your quarry.
If two teams are working the same bubble, sometimes it's better just to wait until they are finished and then go back to work.

It's not always a bad thing. For example during the Friends of Mobius vs Smiling Dog Crew debacle. There was a point where SDC were sitting on 1% and I was wondering what FoM were going to do. But at that point a Torval PowerPlay system flipping team had coincidentally pushed a system (long way off) to expand. The expansion displaced SDC and they were sucked out of Wolfberg.

I'm pretty sure it was a coincidence as there is SO much that can go wrong with a plan like that.
