Is it possible to Sucide from Colonia back to the bubble ?

So, I am now living in and around Colonia, doiung missions for a few weeks to try and get some cash built up before I speed off back out into the Black.
My problem is that the number of Ships and ship types is very limited, as is the mods to outfit them. So I was wondering if it was at all possible to take a Suicide Sidy and get myself killed in Colonia - but wake up in my Home System of Rhea (where my other ships are). That way I can get some engineering done - new ship built and confiured and then re-fly my lazy back out to Colonia

You can suicide but you'd end up back in LHS 3447 with a free sidey. Youd then have to travel to where your ships are or have one delivered to you.

Yes. I've done it. You end up back in your starter system, wherever that is. For me, that was Jameson Memorial. YMMV

If you had the credits and the patience, you could also just have your ships delivered to colonia.

I did think about getting my ships sent to me - but to be honest its very expensive and i don't have that kind of cash lol (being primarly and explorer) - so sucide it is - can anyone please explain the process to me

For interest sake, I self destructed my beta save yesterday to get back to the bubble.
The choices I was presented with was a rebuy of my Anacona at Jacques (the last station I docked at) or a Sidewinder in Bosch outpost at LHS 1914.

Buy a basic sidewinder at Jaques.
Leave station and self destruct or find some other way of being destroyed.
At insurance screen do not rebuy take the sidewinder in the starter system.
You will lose the sidewinder you just bought, but I expect you can cope with that

Well, you won't LOSE it. You get a free replacement, but you can't sell it for credits as it's a loaner.
