Is it possible to transfer credits in the game ?

Not directly. The way I issued some of my mens' Pimp-Hauler starter packs

was by miraculously getting them and myself into the same instance, near a base with some expensive goods.

I'd just fill up with the most expensive of them, ABANDON(key word) someplace the guy can see and just watch the scooping happen.
Tedious, but for now it's the only way.

I don't think you can transfer credits, possibly in the future, I don't think there's official word on it.
There's two ways of jettisoning cargo, one makes it "stolen" the other ok. But I haven't experimented with it yet.

It definitely works. Suggestions, have the other commander personally join your group, go to the group game style, find each other in space near a station....makes finding each other easier...then take cargo a distance away from the space station...eject as abandoned, they scoop it up, and Bob's your uncle.

Hopefully this will never come as with this would come bots and RMT.

Not sure where this logic comes from...there can already be botting...to what end? There is no Real Money Transaction that would help a player....ultimately it still takes skill to kill. Big ships aren't win buttons.

Well, there are enough nerds out there that like the fact that you could sit basicly from day one in the biggest ship availible as there are no ingame skill requirements. Possible customers could be the 14 year old geek that wants "to pwn some n00bs" or Mr Family guy getting tired that he still sits in his Cobra after 6 month with only a few hours a week to play but with an wealthy paypal account.

Mark my words, if credit transfer between players comes you will see a few days later the 1st offers on ebay or other sides.

Agree with this. This is the only online economy I've seen in ...well forever that isn't plagued by RMT. It would be great to keep it that way. The inability to transfer credits/ships/items directly between players is a great way to stop it. The cargo loophole is fine as it's probably too cumbersome for an RMT trader to mess with.

Thanks for clarifying,

Fly 10km directly out of the docking port of a station (you get fined for jettisoning cargo within 10k), jettison(abandon) cargo to make it legal salvage. Too cumbersome for bots, works just fine to get a friend started with the game for example.

But now I can't ransom ships as a pirate! That would be so much fun... die now or pay me to live and walk away (people would do it too). This would come at about 30% hull or lower.... because I wouldn't get anything for blowing them up and simply killing them for fun is... not fun. As a pirate, I'm all about the credits.... if killing you doesn't profit me in some way, well, I don't expend the effort or ammo to do so.... BUT... if I could ransom your life.... yeah, Id like that.
