Is it secure to be on exploration during 1.2 to 1.3 update ?

Hello,

currently I am exploring around the California Nebula and I am thinking if I should fly home before the tomorrow update and sell exploration data.

Is it safe to be far from inhabited space when the game will update ?

OK, thx. I do not know (yet) the mechanism of Beta testing in ED and I thought that live servers will be updated...

FD runs a completely separate Beta test server, runs it previous to the live-drop to work out last minute issues that can get addressed through some player testing.

No worries staying out. I can't recall any update that's "broken" explorers while out there.
But as said, it won't go live for at least a week after beta launch (tomorrow)
I wouldn't be surprised if this beta lasts longer tbh, as there a LOT of things to test in this, and far too many people concentrate on bloomin "ohhhh it's the Diamondback, I MUST HAVE IT, GEIV GEIV!!" <profanity profanity SPLURGE> tissues etc removed :D
Don't get me wrong, testing the new ships is very important, but you can be sure there will be far more bugs to be found (which, lets face it is the real purpose of beta testing) with things such as drones etc.
Not to mention the accelerated mission/faction system which will be very odd and hard to test.
I can only urge everyone to dive in to the beta and really get stuck in to the nitty gritty detail, and earn your position as a beta tester. :D
