Indeed, the Federation in Trek doesn't even seem to have TV, whereas the Federation in Elite is a 'bread and circuses' culture, driven by celebrity and media misdirection. A bit like our modern western society in fact.

I can tell you that the Federation only wants people to be happy and to prosper. Eranin forces must be defeated as they have aquired very dangerous equipment that cannot fall into the wrong hands.

Good point! There have been to many incidents in Federation space of people smashing into the station because they were drunk and so my superiors decided to ban alcohol. I personally do not agree with this but thats life right!
