Title. I heard this. Thought it would be worth discussing given their former ownership of Saitek.

Saitek was sold to help Mad Catz climb out of the dungpit - unfortunately it didn't work and this is the result.

Given the lack of quality they produced, I would hardly consider this unfortunate.

Hopefully Logitech can raise the quality bar and put more competition into the market. Unfortunately, the reviews I see on New Egg aren't encouraging.

Mad Catz has needed to die for a while now. I'm surprised it's taken this long with more reputable brands releasing just as affordable stuff these days without the whole 'ew it's Mad Catz' thing attached.

I first thought it was a April fools joke and thought what a wonderful idea it was to get some free publicity. :p

Isn't Mad Catz that cheap nasty stuff you pay loads of money for?

Yup - but some of their stuff was at least interesting :)

Their Cyborg Gaming Lights for instance, were horribly overpriced, a unbelievably massive pain in the rear to get working, and both AMBX and Mad Catz dropped support for them ages back and pretended they never actually existed.

However, there was a definite "oooohhhhh!" produced by everybody who actually saw them work :D

B-But...who would ever want one of those??
