it depends how patient you can be, and if you can put up with the possibility of losing all your progress due to a wipe.
if you can't wait and you don't mind a wipe, buy it now. if you can wait &/or a wipe would get on your nerves pre-order and wait for the release.
saying that though even though it still says the beta is available on the store it also says beta access ended yesterday, my guess is they forgot to update it due to the launch party.

Just wait, there's a high chance there'll be a wipe before release anyway, so it's not like anyone will get a headstart. If I were you I'd keep an eye on developments and just wait until the 16th to decide.
Just £15 ...Hmm...how long to go ........22 Days......Can you happily wait that long as its a good month really .....If your really...Really keen to play and want to practice then ye I would pay it

Yep sorry counted the end of the calendar ( 1 to 7 faded out ) then counted the beginning of the next page again...DER !!

Sounds like there is a wipe coming up at the launch so sadly you will not be able to avoid the "log jam". For 15 you can get a lot of experience and knowledge about the game and how to play, in an environment that you know is going to get wiped. ED is not an easy game and takes people a while to get the hang of flying. There are also extras to be had with the beta package, but its just up to you if all that stuff is worth the cost of a month subscription in another game.
