I just read phrases like "would kill people in real life..." and "into a pit of death..."
What's up with you? [shocked]

Well since this is the community website, it is quite hard to find out an unbiased recommendation. Either people are applauding the developers and their work for every little thing, and keep defending/ recommending them until the end of time. Or they feel so burned by the design issues that were not addressed for more than a year AND the recent introduction of paid DLC, that they now despise the game with a passion.

Generally, the game is being perceived as "good"(ish). Not perfect, it has more than a few issues, it still lacks a fair amount of content; But it is worth the entry fee if you ask me.
And to answer your immediate question: yes, you can build you vertical coaster of death, although the trains are not exactly like Oblivion, peeps won't die and you can only do the vertical thing on certain coasters because the game has some really weird arbitrary limitations.

Wow, this is very concerning, a good blend of a fruit diet, distilled water and meditation should do the trick :)

Maybe because alot of people did this in RCT1 and 2. It's part of the game. "You dislike my coaster? How about eating this one?"

It's a videogame, people shouldn't be so sensetive about everything everytime. It's supposed to be fun

Sims1 was also a great game for this. Remember that hot neighbour who was already married? How about throwing a pool party for her husband and removing the ladder? [big grin]

I miss the good old days where we could actually kill people in exploding dingies or drown them if they complained about my rides not being fun enough.

ok i removed the kill people irl but that is just over the line removing ladders but i agree with its suppost to be fun

Interesting to see where you draw the line. How about natural disasters in Cities Skylines?
Yea, but I find it hypocritical a bit, as Frontier didn´t want to implement this in PC, but appearently they are not afraid of killing people in JPE... Rly...

It happens in the films too. It's different.

Pc doesn't need it tbh. JPE however does.

Whatever it does or doesn´t need is, once again, matter of opinion. I honestly miss this a lot, not only because it was sometimes fun to create crazy accidents, but because it had impact on the gameplay.

Yeah agreed coaster crashes (with real explosions and not fireworks) should affect park rating and guest deaths should give you 0 chance for that safest park award [big grin]

Well if this game ever gets a licensed Ghostbusters DLC, I think it unlocking ghost gusts would be kind of cool (If I were in charge of a Ghostbuster DLC for PC I'd have the Ghostbusters show up as staff hired to remove ghosts from your park... and add an "Unlock NPC deaths" cheat to the base game... With the DLC dead guests become ghosts that haunt your park and scare away living guests...)

As for death in the vanilla game... I'd just make it a cheat. (Which of course would come with fun but negative consequences such as: Inflicting the "Haunted" status on the ride that killed them, causing it to break down more often because the repair guys don't want to stick around long enough to do a good job due to the ghosts staring at them, results in ghosts taking up seats on the ride without paying, scaring off living guests, and generally making any employees or guests wary of going anywhere near the haunted ride...

Other deaths that would be interesting outside of rides:
Choking: A guest chokes to death on some food from a vendor(Can be prevented by training security in the Heimlich maneuver and keeping them around the food areas.)
Heart attack: An older guest has a heart attack(Can of course be handled by training your staff in CPR and stocking your facilities with defibrillators...)
