Is jump assist worth taking on the Maverick suit? Or maybe better on Dominator?

I've got the mats to install it, but I'm not sure it's worth a slot. I can imagine it will be easier to just jump from building to building over guards to avoid getting scanned. I've already got increased backpack capacity on that suit.

But then maybe I should install it in my dominator suit, for improved mobility in straight up combat.

Any opinions from people that have used it?

Installed it on the Mav and I find it priceless. The rooftop to rooftop jumping is fantastic, and you often have it recharging while you're on the way down for even more distance. But even better: horizontal momentum is preserved if you don't specifically slow down, meaning that a running jump can be extended to cover a pretty long horizontal distance. It pretty much acts as a super long sprint and massively speeds up traversal in bases or out in the open (in low-g at least, I tried it out on a 1g planet and it was very very limited, I could barely get high enough to climb on the Cobra).

Also, if you get flagged for a scan and gravity is low enough, a full IJA jump will take you far enough quick enough that the scan will be cancelled, or if you get flagged, the guard will go hostile but have no clue where you are.

I just went for sprint duration on my mav (plus loot capacity, night vision and I'll get quiet footsteps when smears get fixed).

Same for dom. Maybe jump would work out better but sometimes you just want to sprint, not glide about. Running out of sprint is bad at the wrong time.

I didn’t bother with Loot (you can always go back to your SRV or ship if you absolutely must have every last Circuit Switch).

NVIS, Sprint and Jump is a great combo for getting about quickly and undetected. I too am waiting for Quiet Footprints for the fourth slot.

Thanks for the advice folks. I'll go grab it for my Mav, it;s the suit I spend the most time in anyway.

@Darkman Yeah I've seen that said on reddit, tried doing thing's that way but it was driving me up the wall having to deploy, park & return my SRV for every loot run. I'd just prefer to make less trips back while farming.
