Is jurassic world evolution dead?

I'm not trying to rush anything and I know about the covid situation and what not but I feel like there hasn't been as much talk about JWE as there has been with others, I've noticed that every email from frontier talks about pretty much every game they have apart from JWE and I'm just wondering, Is it dead? I mean I'd expect at least some update on the situation but there's still nothing so yeah. anybody know what's happening?

Every DLC and update with more content has to go through a specific planned marketing schedule. There is no straight time span rule for how often releases for any post-launch developing game should come, something that I've always been trying to say countless times. They have to depend of how their marketing schedules are planned to ensure business successes, and no game company like them is going to share information publicly on how or when new stuff will come out before reveal because it's wholly bad for the business (a serious loss of sales and a handful of unwanted responses than what they could chew). I know the game is still like the other three active games of theirs because I can "see and think of it" in that proper sense that no one else would understand anyway if I try to explain it right now.

With their emails, they mean absolutely nothing, at all. In order for them to showcase them in their livesteams and so fourth, they rely on certain voluntary content creators to help do it for them, not because they feel like working on the game. Community manager, Chante Goodman confirmed this.

Not really clear, recent activity on the steamDB is interesting, but seems to mostly be about Steam specific stuff like emoticons & trading cards.

In the past there was maybe hope for a Camp Cretaceous tie in, but the more we know about it as show, the less likely that seems to be.

I'm scheduled to give up on the game at the end of the month, but that certainly shouldn't influence your decision (I've been a bit over invested with the game's future, so I really should stop anyway).

Hi everyone,

We cannot know for sure untill an official statement has been made. Having said that, I do feel communication is lacking to quite an extreme extent. A statement that would give a bit of hope (even if it doesnt contain any news regarding updates) is inportant now. As threads like these emerge on different platforms. I feel with you guys on this one. For my own peace of mind, I will consider the support for this game completed (for myself). And its a cool game. I've seen some cool mods done and that gives a bit of hope to new QOL improvements and content. I'll stop scanning this forum, Reddit, the Steam DB and YT channels for news about JWE updates now. I've gotten a bit overinvolved in it, 'cause its a very addictive IP and game and its hard to let go of that hope and hype. Unintentionally, without a doubt, the way of communication is along the lines of intermittent reinforcement and hope is hard to let go off as a fan. Ofcourse, who am I to demand more content or cry out about the lack of it? I can do that all I want, but developpers are ofcourse not bound to keep supporting a game. The fact that games are addictive and that its therefore difficult to let go off, is a fact. Thanks Frontier for a cool game (and I mean that!). Im off.

If its dead frontier should just say so. Its beyond asinine the lack of communication frontier has given from the get go.
Whether you like it or not, the latter for you, I actually do understand your reasons for saying this.
Still, it's not going to change anything. All AAA companies like them will never be as communicative as some indies or general armchair devs by choice because of more serious complicated catches the average former two wouldn't really think about.

My only hope, is that when it dies (if it is not dead), Frontier will be good enough to make it easier to mod in new dino's without replacing existing ones.

I'm expecting that we're getting something announced soon, we're a month away from Camp Cretaceous, so there's a good chance we're getting something tied to it

sigh ...I get the details of why we don't hear about future projects and such... but would it kill them to at least say "yes, we are still making new content for JWE"? ...I mean, it doesn't have to be specific, just tell us things are happening and we're not all waiting around for nothing...

Even that in itself can have unwanted catches, if the timing is wrong that is, and this is no exception.

We currently don't have anything to announce regarding new content for the game. As this thread was last posted in back in July, I'm going to close it.
