Is my laptop going to run this well?

Hi all, I'm not very `techie` but my laptop (Samsung series 7 gamer) runs most games at very high/ ultra spec with no problems at all

Intel core i7 3630QM CPU @ 2.40 GHZ
16 GB ram
1.5 TB hard drive
Nvidia Gforce GTX 675M GFX card with 2GB memory

I'm fairly sure that lot will run it ok but any thoughts? Anyone else use a similar spec?

I'm getting Elite dangerous in 2 days anyway (payday!) just wanted to see how this PC would cope so see you all online then :)

OR is occulus rift right? I hadn't planned on buying one (probably would give me motion sickness as most FPS games do) but out of curiosity what sort of drain on performance is it to use one?

My laptop (PCSpecialist Vortex) is almost identical only dufference is 4gig 675M and it runs the game (virtually) flat out perfectly, I have anti aliasing off but everything else is maxed out. However it does run quite hot when I am not using an external monitor, with the external monitor it doesnt break into a sweat, and as my lappy is 18 months old and hasnt been cleaned (internally) it would probably run cooler dust free. Enjoy the game its brilliant :)

Should run very well.

My lappy is a much lower spec, and was doing not too shabbily at a lowish resolution and settings, but now I've just bought myself a nice shiny Cobra its glorious cockpit is pulling my fps down.

I'm holding out for some optimisations at release cos I can't afford a new rig til the new year.

I'm currently running it on this laptop spec:

Intel core I7 2670QM @ 2.2 Ghz
8 GB Ram
1.5 TB hard drive
Nvidia Gforce GTX 570M

17+ inch screen @ 1366 x 768 resolution in everything high detail & it runs fine, although I'm picking up a new laptop in 3 weeks time, with the following:

Intel core I7 4710QM @ 2.5 Ghz with 6MB
16 GB Ram
2 x 1 TB SSD hard drives raided up RAID 0 (Stripe)
2 x Nvidia Gforce GTX 860M with 4GB of memory

Going full HD on another 17+ inch screen, but it going to cost £2100, I'd go tower, but due to lifestyle I have to opt for a more costly gaming laptop.

[EDIT] Tried this game with TrackIR 5, can't play without it now, it really is that good.[/EDIT]

Mine is fine

I'm running a laptop with the i7 3620, 16GB RAM and a 2GB GT675m
It has a 750GB HHD (hybrid hard-disk) but that probably doesn't change much other than Windows boot time.

Running at 1920x1080 I get mid-30s FPS at high detail, mid-to-high 40s at medium.
Obviously that varies depending on environment the worst I've seen was very occasional drops to 29 in really busy battles.

Totally absolutely get this it upgrades the game big time. Our laptops arent good enough for OR.

Plus a good HOTAS if you dont already have one and have the cash (and can actually find one for sale...)

Oh yes and Voice Attack, ridiculously good value for money and adds a lot to game feel, in my opinion.

Thats my advice anyway.

This game has cost me hundreds and it isnt even released yet :)
