Newcomer / Intro Is performance in Combat Training Demo V1.00 same as full game?

Hey guys I am about to buy Elite Dangerous digital download on Steam.
I have tried the Combat Training Demo v 1.00. and my performance is great on "high" settings.

Is the performance basically the same for the full game?

Could someone pop in and advise asap as I am going to buy in a few hours.

Thanks in advance and this is my 1st post so a big hello to every one!

Training missions are really old. (If you wait for a week or so, in 2.2 that's coming up, they are completely reworked)
That means they are highly ill-optimized. The performance of the main game is much better.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I am downloading ED via Steam now.

Its good to hear the performance in the updated main game has improved I was getting great performance on high settings so its looking good.

Thanks again,
Decca

The Elite's Cobra Engine is really good and the graphics look amazing no matter the settings, actually. I'm running Ultra 1080p on a very mediocre i5 with GTX960. You'll love the visuals. Plus there is another big improvement coming up.

Have fun and welcome to the Black, commander.

I have a lowly Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3.16GHz | 4GB Ram | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 | Windows 10 x64
that still manages to run most games with no issues.

I am going to be building a new system in the new year and I know after spending 2k it will probably have issues that this
system never seems to have.

You'll be fine, even with this setup. The most important thing is that you have the 64bit system (Though you'd get about 10% more out of it if it were W7. :p), so if you get hooked like we are, you can expand by Horizons and upcoming seasons that are and will be 64bit only.

I just bought a new computer last month

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB DD4
Monitor Redmi 27 NQ
NVIDIA GTX 960
Windows 10 Home Edition X64
128 GB SSD
1 TB Hard Drive
Wi-Fi 6 Card ax200 10 MHz

Power supply 850 Watt

A nice improvement from my original spec computer and re downloading ED from Steam now...90 % and waiting
