Is Planet Zoo 2 being released?

Is Planet Zoo 2 is it real or Fake? Because I have read an annotation on Google, and I don't know who wrote it, I cannot trust any speculation pt anything from Frontier Dev. for that matter.

I am very upset with Frontier Dev. and Planet Zoo because this is what I read on Google.

"A sequel to Planet Zoo (2019) and set during Korrina's Animal Action (the franchise), the game is set to be released for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and Series S on November 5, 2022."

I was very sad because I was expecting for the new Planet Zoo 2, to show the update on STEAM from 09:00am till 11:00pm in Miami, FL, never came thru. So, I don't think that Frontier will be releasing a new Planet Zoo 2 or neither a Planet Coaster 2. If they are, it could be five(5) years from now. Which I don't think it's gonna happen at all.

I think someone on Google or YouTube or other places, is a BIG Lier, to write on Google the paragraph above, making the Planet Zoo community believe and trust that Big Lie. If I were you, I would Not trust anything people tell you on Google or neither Trust any videos from YouTubers about Frontier releasing a Planet Zoo 2. I have found two videos on YouTube making you believe on the Big Planet Zoo announcement and Pre-order the game. If you find this video, Please do Not trust this video from YouTube.

What?🤔

If something would be announced it would most likely be here at first.
Maybe they are already working on it. It isn't that uncommon that a Sequel is already worked on while the original is still supported. But I assume it's more likely that they don't work on a Sequel yet. Might be likely at some Point though due to how popular the Game is

It is probably best to only bealieve information on official Frontier website/social channels, rather than anything on unoffical sites where anyone can write anything.

Also, I am not sure why you should be upset with Frontier, that one is on you, believing any unofficial information.

And by the way, if there will be PZ 2, it wont be anytimes soon. The original game is still updated and supported with new DLC, so they clearly still work on it.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of "speculative" or "fanon" Fandom wikis that encourage people to write about fictional pieces of media or even alternate real life timelines (I've even seen one for fictional Atlantic hurricane seasons of all things). Google has apparently weighed Fandom wikis pretty heavily in its algorithm in recent years, so at times you'll run into absolute nonsense like this getting pushed to the top. Far from the first time I've seen someone fall for them.

I really wish Google would do something to, at the very least, blacklist specific popular fanon wikis from its algorithm. Even with the disclaimer on the wiki itself stating its intentions, it feels negligent for Google to push this content, they obviously know better than anyone that people so often don't click past the headline.

The article your quote is from describes PZ2 like it was already published a while ago (“continues to be developed”, etc.) while announcing its future release date. There are many contradictory signals that should have alerted you that this is fan fiction.

Context is everything. Look at where this is published:

Please be aware.

  • Articles are more often than not completely fictitious!
  • Blah blah blah, don't sue us.

Another victim of George Boggs actions. 😔
😆

This makes me really angry. A Wiki is for distributing real Informations unless it's clearly marked as Satire. Especially the Hurricane Stuff is just evil. I don't live anywhere where Hurricanes happen but it most likely causes Panic among People who live in such Regions

What's also really suspicious: even if it would be leaked Information, how should they already know a Release Date if Frontier isn't ready yet to announce that it's worked on?

People will always speculate but this would be the place to see if it's accurate. It would have to come from the mouth of Frontier to be believed. People will always state things as facts or it's just a video of things they want in a sequel.
Come here and check out the News & Announcement section for anything new on Planet Zoo.

Not to mention a sequel would take years to release. Heck their still developing the current planet zoo lol. Planet coaster for example released in 2016 I believe it’s now 2022. I do believe a planet coaster sequel is in the works as it did pretty well but this kind of stuff doesn’t happen overnight.

It's clear the author of that fan based wiki took a gamble that there would be a sequel by the third anniversary of the game's launch. Something that clearly didn't pay off in reality.

It's a matter of public record that Frontier is working on F1 Manager for at least the next 3 years (annually) and a Warhammer: Age of Sigmar Real Time Strategy game. They've also announced There are two release windows for other internally produced games that are as yet a complete mystery:

These are set to happen during FY25 (June 1st 2024 - May 31st 2025) and FY26 (June 1st 2025 - May 31st 2026) respectively.

Any other unannounced [internally produced] game (excluding titles that may end up developed by recently acquired Complex Games) is at least 19 months off at the bare minimum.

As I've mentioned before at least for some Game Developers it isn't that unusual to already work on a Sequel while the Original Game is still getting DLCs and Updates. But I assume in the Case of Planet Zoo that they want to fix at least the most extreme Bugs first. I think even if the Sequel is already worked on while the other Game is updated, it normally still takes a few Years until it can actually be announced. So I wouldn't hope too much yet that a Sequel might already be released within the next 2 or 3 Years

To be fair, the exact source of that is in the "ideas" section of the wiki, however, it's definitely written out as if factual, not an idea. Even goes so far to "ask" a question - Is Planet Zoo 2 fake, and answers that no, it's not fake.

Which, I mean...it's fake. I would think maybe at least one of us would have heard if PZ2 had been released over the weekend. :ROFLMAO:

My thought is that eventually we may well get a Planet Zoo 2. But I hope for at least another year support, and dream of another 3 years of support. When support for PZ ends may give a clue as to when we may see PZ 2. Until then, yeah...may be in Frontier's internal plans but nothing external.

To me it’s very obvious this was a bogus page. I had actually come across this about 2 months ago. The first hint should have been the November 2022 release date which makes no sense especially after frontier gave its report stating dlc would continue through 2023. The second obvious giveaway was the console version apparently has been released since last year lol. Third was the animal list which named 75 or so animals and then a bunch of dinosaurs. Whether gaming companies often start a sequel or not while the first game is still getting dlc or not I can guarantee there is no planet zoo 2 whatsoever right now. Jwe2 was a much faster release but the game is not nearly demanding as planet zoo or planet coaster for that matter. As far as improvements go what would they be exactly? To our knowledge we have no new version of the cobra engine so what’s the motivation for a sequel. Planet coaster 2 would be out well before planet zoo 2. Planet zoo hasn’t even gone into the console phase yet( and hopefully it doesn’t for quite awhile) but I can assure anyone planet zoo2 is way off.

Being upset by a company that has not mentioned anything??? Being upset because some fake website posted that information???

I mean, why would you believe that without any info from frontier???😂

Dont blame frontier for believing something that is clearly fake

Hey paul78;
You're right, at first I did believed that in a sort of way, but then I figured that what it was written on that page was a complete fake. I guess, we gonna have 2 wait for either the sequel of Planet Coaster 2 to be released first and or the sequel for Planet Zoo 2, to be released in a couple of years. Let's just hope for the best.
