PvP Is PvP Ramming Still an Exploit?

I've been "ram attacked" by multiple 'clean' CMDRs this weekend at the CG (flies to honey), mostly at RES. I don't stick around long enough to let them finish the job, but I have to wonder if they are clean, yet they are brazen in using ramming as a form of attacking other ships (they never fired a shot), does this mean ramming is still an exploit to allow CMDRs to kill other CMDRs without consequence?

If so, then Frontier can "ram" their CGs where the sun don't shine :p

If not, what are the consequences?

I've got my answer to the question (along with a lot of 'friendly encouragement'), so here's my potential solution to the problem:

Two things need to happened when we are rammed-attacked. First, the rammer needs to become an enemy target that I can open fire on in self defense. Second, if I die, they get a bounty on their heads and notoriety. The idea that I can't defend myself against a rammer who can destroy me without consequence is totally broken.

I once rammed a ship by accident. it was a Sidey I think. once he popped, I got wanted for killing a pilot. So, ramming to avoid any consequence is not really an issue...

Maybe you should have realized what kind of game YOU bought...rather than try to constantly ask for the game you THOUGHT you bought?

If FDEV ever was stupid enough to take your suggestion seriously, the game would die within a year. You have no idea what you are talking about.

The majority of players of this game do not use Open mode as their primary choice. YOU are the minority. Stop acting like your mode choice is something more than that, or that you speak for anyone other than a company of (1).

When I bought the game at release there was only open mode.

Uh... The game has ALWAYS had (3) play modes since launch. [wacko]

As far as which is the most popular on any given day?

LOL! Some people don't know how to read...then complain when their ignorance comes to light!

This game has always been advertised as it is...with modes, or the promise of them...never was sold otherwise.

I always accepted it as the benefit of having a big ship.

What you called "interacting", I call borderline cheating. People who use ramming to murder other players specifically to escape the consequences are the anti-social ones. Had these players used their weapons and owned the consequences, this thread would not exist.

The sad part is that Frontier wasted so much time and effort on a new C&P system which is rendered useless by exploits like this. Ultimately this is on them..

I tried it out, killing by ramming equals bounty and notoriety +1, so don't recommend it.
Yes there are 3 modes,
Totally buggy and crashy (open)
Safe but a bit boring (mobius)
Why am I alone (solo or renew gold pass)
Have fun

Given the laughable "realism" of using repeated ramming attacks at busy well defended and patrolled stations isn't it...
Isn't it..."Head back to mobius of you don't want the idiocy of dealing with childish immersion breakers in a game you've paid to enjoy"

One final note though, if you complain about PvP or if you hide away in your private groups, then you are a COWARD. Plain and simple.

Is this still the case after 3.03? People are saying Frontier removed this.

Hey go easy on Doctor Zejo he/she has a big heart and only wants everybody to play together, but unfortunatly he/she lacks the tact to engage others with different ideas than he/she has.
