Is save and exit in a belt cluster safe????

Hi all!!
If I save during mining among asteroids and go away for many hours, is safe? Or some pirates or other cmdrs can find me and destroy me even if I'm not playing?

Yes, totally safe. In fact, save and exit is always safe, everywhere.

So, when I'm tired to mine, I can go to bed and restart mining the day after without having to come back to a safe dock??? Great!!!! Thanks! ;)

A word of caution i once saved my game at a belt cluster. When i loaded it up next it spawned me straight into an asteroid!

This was back in Gamma though, so may have been fixed but to be on the safe side i avoid saving and quitting in asteroid fields!

Same thing happened to my buddy, kaboom. Maybe out some distance between you and the asteroids first.

OP: Yes (but not 100% safe) - based on experience - my ship appeared halfway in an asteroid and was instantly destroyed - since that time I have always parked above or below the main body of asteroids.

Similar to that of above post.

Thank you for your experiences reported! This evening, after mining some silver-palladium...... I preferred dock in a safe dock!!! A pirate interdicted me, but I followed the escape vector!!!! ;)
