Is smuggling still rubbish?

Seems like it is

It seems like its a case of poor pay out on the actual task vs the risk.

I dont do slave trading ( I liek to smuggle weapons and drugs) .Even so many people on this forum seem to think smuggling = implrail slaves.

So whats the difference in payout from smuggling imperial slaves compare to legal trade in them.

A good while back smuggling always resulted in selling at a loss.

Then it got buffed so that woo hoo sometimes you can make a marginal profit.

Anyway's is smuggling still rubbish?

Not bothering with smuggling at the moment, still don't fully understand this new crime and punishment system. Anyway, as always, plenty of haulage and short range smuggling missions out in the Pleiades.

Mainly Narcotics, weapons, nerve agents, just stack up the missions. Need to grab a Cobra and see if anything has changed at Robigo, haven't been there in over a year.

I did get around 5k/ton profit when selling (illegal) battle weapons at the current CG. Not sure whether this is CG specific, but I do remember reading about some adjustments to black market prices in 3.0.
