Is the current Bookmark broken ?

On PS4, when you book mark a star port, it seems correct.

But if you book mark a planetary base, the system name got saved, and not the base name.

And if you select a planetary base on the system menu, the planet got selected, not the base. You have to manually select the base from the navigation screen.

Anyone can confirm ?

PC player here, so I can't really say 100%, but I think you never were able to bookmark a place ON the planet. Only whole systems on a galaxy map or anything that you can directly see and target in the system map (stations and planets as a whole)

Some previous update enables saving the base on a planet. I have a bookmark of engineer Felicity Farseer that takes me directly to her base.

I'm trying to save another engineer's planetary base today, which did not seems to work.

Selecting the base from the system menu just selects the planet, so you can't bookmark it directly that way, you have to zoom in on the planet until you can see and select the base first. Either bookmark it from the Navigation panel or, in the system map, zoom in on the planet until you can select the base and then select and bookmark it. Both of those methods work for me.

I cannot bookmark an engineer base where I have not yet unlocked access to the engineer though. Normally, for me, the game auto-bookmarks an engineer once I get full access, but there have been a few where I tried to do it earlier and couldn't.

uhh..yes you can. Engineer and other planetary bases can be bookmarked, I have 20 to 30 such bookmarks.

Geo and Biological sites and other similar POI's you cannot bookmark, but bases you can.

Maybe it's (adjusted / broken) due to the Supercruise Assist feature, that selecting a planetary base now defaults to the planet. As SA puts you in orbit, not landing to the base. But I felt it's really useful to bookmark basses - which should be similar to bookmarking star ports. Perhaps a better approach is for SA to still do it's job putting you in orbit, but allows bookmarking basses.

Bookmarking basses were indeed not possible early on, but after some recent update (before the April update and patch) bookmark became much usable. If you bookmark a base or station, the icon and name of the station / base is saved.
