I went to the Istanu system (from the GalNet news, where there's supposed to be a pirate problem), and weirdness is happening all over the place.
I get the "interdiction detected" message, but there's nothing happening. I continue to cruise around like normal. I hear the interdiction sound effects though, as if I'm evading, but there's no interdiction. I throttle down just to test if I can "submit", but nothing happens. Then I see the "interdiction evaded" message coming. Again: there was no interdiction happening at all!
I then drop into a USS (for missions.) An NPC shows up, giving me some alternative info. Before he's able to finish, *puff*, he disappears. I drop into another USS, same thing happens. Another USS, several NPCs in there. 3 seconds later, *puff*, they're gone.
I restart the game. The local system panel (the one that shows the name and government type) of flashing between different text. Can't make out what it says between each state (could be my imagination, but I *think* it was quickly flashing between "independent" and "federation?"
). Another interdiction where only the sound effects of the interdiction play, but otherwise I'm in normal supercruise with no interdiction taking place. I drop into a USS, again 3 seconds later, everything in the USS magically disappears.
I must have gone through a wormhole to a parallel universe?
