Is the game even darker than before?

Not talking about the massive darkening we had when entering into EDO, but has the game got even darker recently? Has anyone noticed anything, or should I simply check my settings?

Bits of the forum seem to be darker but I haven't noticed anything in game.

Shadows actually became less dark about 18.05 so walking behind a rock doesn't immediately plunge you into night.
Haven't noticed anything else since.
