The beauty of 400 billion star systems is that the game developers can craft a very elaborate illusion of a dynamic and growing universe. Unfortunately that means anything not under their vision remains static and unchanging. I doubt you'll see any change.
frankly this is going to be the entire issue right now with E

, right now they expect everyone to drop everything and head to whereveer the current "activity of the day" is, when in fact, and especially after more players join, and people are spread out over thousands of lightyears, most people will be doing their own thing, and the fact that no matter how much is done where, change is only in 1 or 2 places at a time, will start to burn some players out
E

is going to need to try and find some ways to at least put in some minor dynamics for systems and pretty much everything really to keep the game from being completely static.
Also, with how big the empires are currently, I would hope to see Planet Rushes every once in a while that see the race to colonize HUNDREDS of systems at once, because i mean, we ARE talking about some large expansive empires, they arent just going to grab one system at a time, theyll be sending settlers in waves like the American Frontier
