is the Marco Qwent unlock broken?

I am allied with the Sirius Coorporation, but I don't get the invite. I was at the two station in Sirius which are not under control of the coorporation and nothing.

I landed at the settlement that the coorporation owns, and there is still no invite happening. I even tried reloggign now like cray, bt all I get is a stupid surface misison on other planets or most of the time no mission on the board of the sirius coorporation at all.

I guess I never gonna see G5 thruster updates EVER!!!

broken not, but it can take quite some time till it shows up on the mission board in the sirius system. you are doing it right.

Avik is where I got mine, just a few weeks ago

hmm, I gonna try this then, but that would mean the engineers description is also wrong because it states that I need to be in the sirius home system. However int he other systems where they owned stations I didn't had luck, i even went to those 220k ls stations they have -.-

What they said - I'm assuming you have been told about Marco by Elvira?

While you're not getting the mission you could collect some modular terminals - I hear they can come in handy :)

Don't know if it is working as intended but yea, I had to wait some time before I found an invite mission, too.

Same happens with faction rank promotions.

No. You can get Sirius permit there.
But Marco's invitation you'll get ONLY directly in Sirius.

OP, it took me about a week to get the invitation. I just did missions and BH in the area and once or twice a day I dropped by in Sirius (the main station, I forgot how it's called) and did some missions for the Sirius corp. Eventually the invitation mission showed up.
It was less than a month ago, so I don't think something got broken in the mean time. It just takes time, like navy missions.

Lucky me, got the invitation in 5 minutes from outpost. Keep doing missions until it pops.

Cheers Cmdr's

Yea, it's all about luck. For example I never had problems with ranking missions. Hit 100%, visit the station, take the navy mission. That's how it works for me. :D
But I guess I got all that karma back with Marco.

Yea sorry misread the op. However once I obtained the permit I just landed at the first station in Sirius and the engineer invite was waiting. This is on Xbox, I also have it on PC and used the same method. Op just keep checking it will spawn for you eventually

Also as someone pointed out get some modular terminals while waiting. Aditi can get you all 25 within an hour or 2 of just doing the boom data missions

I think I saw one of the patch notes for 2.3 stating that rank up missions and engineer invites were bugged and they are going to make them less rare.

I'm allied with Sirius, have the permit, know about Marco Qwent from the other engineer, but was not getting offered the invite despite doing more missions.

I raised a ticket and support confirmed it's a bug. They enabled the invite at my next subsequent login.

Hi! I've been having a hard time getting the Qwent invitation mission. Elvira Martuuk I have at grade 5, i've got the Sirius permit and I am allied with the corporation. Still, been going in and out of game modes, docked at different Sirius corporation stations and ports additional times, no invitation mission. Sometimes no mission at all in any of the game modes (Open, Solo, Private) . To me it really starts to feel like a bug.

My invite popped up almost a week after I got the permit to Sirius. I checked every once in a while.

- - - Updated - - -

I spend the waiting time doing missions to collect the commodities he needed as initial bribe.

forgot what is was, we just talked and I left for palin ;)

I'm sorry... It was my fault... I dropped the 3 modular terminals I didn't need on his workshops roof on the way out. It should be back up and running in a couple of days after they fix the roof...

OMG.. I just did this RNGineers Dance.

You'll have to hang around in Sirius space for a while. It takes some people a few DAYS, yes, DAYS to get the invite. I got mine on the second day. And then I needed the Modular Terminals. Those are pretty scarce and when you have them in your cargo hold you'll get pretty popular.

For a guy I don't want. I wanted Palin. All in all Marco is one of the worst, but not THE worst, Engineers to unlock. The worst is Selene Jean and mining 500 tons, PLUS a donation of Painite.

I'd previously unlocked the Sirius permit and spent hours over multiple occasions waiting for the Engineer mission and ended up giving up. I came back to it this last weekend and after some time I finally got the mission. I'd seriously given up on it as a bug, however it managed to show its face...eventually. I can't give any advice other than to give up, go away do something else and then come back to it. Just keep trying.

Be allied. Then just keep relogging to the mission board until the mission shows up. This is both for the Sirius invite and the engineer invite from within Sirius.

But here's the catch:

Elite always creates a couple more missions for the board than it actually displays. So when the invite mission is not there, take ALL others that you can. Then leave the mission board (do NOT go to the main menu). Go right back to the mission board. Usually some new missions will have appeared.

For me the invite was one of these hidden missions. If you just relog because you're not seeing it initially you're throwing it away.

Just did marco qwent yesterday BTW! But I have been using this info on Skimmer missions et al. for a long time now.

If you had to refresh so often that you can't take any more missions, abandon or actually do some of them. Just make sure that you don't drop below allied with sirius corp.

Edit: it took about ten relogs for me to get the sirius invite and again for the engineer invite.

Been in and out of Sirius and no Qwent mission for me but this thread has given hope.

How many modular terminals does Qwent eventually want? I recently sold over 30 of those as I got tired of waiting.

And slightly related OT: Got easy painite for Selene Jean from Delkar system, namely Delkar 7, excatly the same ring than the Haz res site but safe distance form it - not even scanned once. Needed only about 20 limpets to get the 10 tons of painite - and the place was full of platinum and palladium too.
