Is the new npc hi wake AI behaviour making them immune to grom bomb?

I might have found an issue but prior to posting it on the issue tracker I would like to know if any other had the same issue. They seem to be totally immune to fsd disruptor effects. Checked and rechecked, my npc victims had no PD installed.

p.s.: I have been using a grom bomb with experimental thermal cascade, so might the problem be related to engineering a grom bomb?
 
AFAIK NPCs are immune to pretty much everything when it comes to high-waking. I've seen them ignore mass-lock, destroyed FSDs, special effects. It really needs fixing.
 
I've always been successful in stopping them from high waking by destroying their FSD or drives. Nothing seems to be able to stop them short of that though.

Not saying @Ian Skippy is wrong about the destroyed FSD, btw...I'm sure it doesn't always work. But it has been very effective at least.
