IS the new Thargoid stuff Odyssey only?

So I traveled all the way over to HD 38291 to see the orange blob thing and I could not find it, everyone in system chat was talking about it and seeing it and I had no idea where they where looking.

So I asked do you need odyssey to see the object and a few people said when they went on horizon they could not see it.

A bit odd to hide a giant space thing from horizon clients, unless whatever this is can only be accessed on foot in the future maybe.

Anyhow can anyone else confirm this for me?

It is Odyssey only, yes. It might show up in Horizons 4.0 when that is available, but we don't really know.

I went to view the first fly-by, was "wowed" by it, and then went back home. Don't expect anything to happen in a serious vein until the console transfers are pretty much finished and until everyone that needs it gets updated to the latest version. If I recall correctly, Update 14 is coming up around November(??) so there may be some "little things" that come up from time-to-time but don't expect anything to really drop until Update 14 drops. My feeling is that we're watching the package being delivered but the "narrative" is treading water until 14 shows up.
