Is the Pleiades "over"?

For a while, it seemed like it was all happening in the Pleiades and, as a result, I've got quite the fleet of ships out there.
I've got a cargo ship for the CGs, a heavy combat ship for, erm, the combat, an Annie for running missions, an AspX for running smaller missions and sightseeing, a DBX for mat' hunting and travelling, an FGS for 'goid-bothering and a Dolphin for loading up with those research limpets.

We had cargo and BHing CGs out there (to the point where everybody was sick of them), we had interesting sample-collections CGs (which went away because they were bugged and never came back [sad]), we had mysterious things to find and investigate and we've still got AEGIS and the Thargoid surface bases out there... but it doesn't seem like much is actually happening out there now.

For a while it seemed like the Pleiades was going to be the place where 'goid-related stuff was happening because it was going to be the "borderland" between Human and Thargoid space.

Now, though, it looks like that was just "phase 1" and now we're into "phase 2", which just consists of the 'goids trampling across the bubble, and the Pleiades is little more than the place where it all started.

Been back there tonight, doing a couple of Palin's missions for old-times sake (if not for the credits), and I was wondering if there's much point in maintaining a fleet out there now.[sad]

The 'goid surface bases are out still out there.
Okay, so we know they provide a source of 'goid stuff but there's also those map-machines, which are still unexplained, aren't they?
Seems like there might be more happening in the Pleiades in future but, I dunno.

I moved all my ships back up north, I dunno if that means there is going to be less thargoid content in Pleiades in the future. I do have a feeling that the bubble is where the new Alien CGs are going to be. Don't know if that helps :/

There seems to be a lull in the Pleiades events - which is good, as this allows us in the Pleiades Repair Initiative to bring more stations back online. If we don't repair them, nobody will fix them. Plus, this lets us have Aegis research laboratories online again - you can like or dislike Aegis, but few can deny that their weapons are quite useful in several situations.

We may want to keep sn eye on Heignere Port as the aftermath of yesterdays livestream revealed.

I suspect the current lull is more about getting 3.0 out, stabilized, and allowing players some chance to explore the new Guardians content. I guess its going to be 3 months before 3.1 drops (and that's a smaller update too), so not really very surprising that FDev are pacing the content. Do your engineering, get access to Guardian Tech, enjoy the new scenery - this peace is not going to last.
