Ships Is the type 10 ship kit any good?

The fact that i feel inclined to ask the question is probably the answer in itself..

But to anyone who owns a type-10 ship kit.. is it any good? Any chance of some real game screenshots?

All the front pieces look inconsiderate of the random mottling of rectangles on the front of the ship.. and there's view few pieces out of the other parts that look good. All i want it for is the tail extension (no really, it needs to be longer).

That's not in game but i'll give you some rep anyway. Would be great to get some screenshots still because of all the patchy panels on the type 10 the paintjobs really make a difference, and the ship kits dont overlap the base model evenly.. there's always a bit sticking out from looking at it on the previews at least..

Not the best vantage point for some of the pieces, sorry, but they are labeled bumper1, wing1, etc. in outfitting and each pic is all of the 1's, 2's, 3's or 4's.

I rock the double spoiler, and no buyer's remorse on the ship kit, although I agree with your first post on the front pieces being not that great. This is my third go around with the Type-10, and I was determined to come to a liking with the ship. I may have gotten the ship kit just to keep myself from selling the ship again...

Back at you.. salvage runner: https://s.orbis.zone/1Qi7 The possible variations are you can swap around the scoop, shield and cargo space to your taste, and if you don't mind pulse lasers you can drop down to 6a distributor and still get good performance. It doesn't support large beams even with 7a (unenginnered at least).

Personally ive had issue with the model, the polygon count on the grills not the styling for a long time so never got into it. What allowed that issue to just cross the line into forgettable was the midnight black paint job.. and all the insanely bad mottling of junk on the top of the ship gets folded into one color so less of a problem.

Past that looking into its role.. as an old type-9 player im very excited by it. Its the same canopy but true multirole from the guns. You're kinda looking forward to combat in the thing. It beats the python because the ai when you're in a python swawns ships that outclass it unless you're in heavy combat fit upsetting its multirole. Why it beats the krait, no cargo space on the krait when in combat fit. The type-10 as a turretboat + fighter does it all... amazing.

Put in a ticket inquiring about an exchange (they don't do refunds). Frontier support are brilliant, and im sure they would want you to feel happy about what you spent going forward than not liking what you got.. or i've done this enough times.

The ship kits in general i don't really like.. the only ones id recommend to friends would the corvette raider kit and surprisingly the krait non raider kit.. these actually match the ship and you want to use most of the pieces rather than just one or two (like the cutter).

Okay i caved with the sale. I am personally happy with it, but im a sucker for elite cosmetics. For a more objective or less invested perspective, i have to say that the type-10 model and the ship kit are simply below the standards of anything else in the game. For us, its something to accept when using the ship and cosmetics, for frontier its for them to reflect on how such a blemish in visual quality was allowed in the game. Truly.

If you require more from cosmetics, choose something else.

I hope this helps. Yeah for me the door into using the type 10 was the midnight paint job. It covers it up. I also have the tactical graphite (on two alternate accounts now.. facepalm) and it kinda works, but isn't as good as the midnight black.
