I think there's lots of cool things you could/can do with limpets eg;
Program one as a bomb and leave it somewhere / drop it from a height.
Directly transfer cargo to send direct, ship to ship.
Geological limpets, put on the ground and triangulate towards geyser fumeroles, from seismics.
Use to hack into datapoints potentially or use as listening devices.
Attach your transponder ID to one to give a false ping on your location (as long as limpet not destroyed!)
Tracker limpets sound nice (do these attach to a hull?) and repair drones, all interesting as far as I'm concerned. Would need to go a bit steady imo when it comes to being OP with explorering. Probably something else for repairing canopy for me, though a good hull repair might slow down further canopy degradation. Part of the interest with exploring imo is the one way street, currently with hull, but with canopy too. Think it needs to be careful there .. but the more the very merrier as a general thing.
