RCT 3 PC Is there a disadvantage to the Steam version over the CD version?

Is the RCT3 Platinum Edition fully optimized (all patches and updates)? I'm running on a powerful system so I want to make sure I get the best performance possible.

Will I have any compatibility running this game on a GTX 680?

Hi there,

In theory there shouldn't be any difference between the CD version and the one you'll get on Steam. However the CD version is probably a safer bet as it should automatically install any updates for you at installation.

In regards to your card, as long as your drivers are up to date you shouldn't run into any problems. The chance of running into compatibility issues if you're running Windows 8 are slightly higher, but even so it should be fine.
