Is there any OFFICIAL statment by Frontier, at Horizons release, about the reason why the Earth's Moon is not landable and when it may eventually be integrated in the game? Do you have a link to it?

Because conspiracy theorists says no one has ever landed on the moon and no one shall ever will. The dark side is too scary!
I think they'd want to make it reasonably accurate, which would take forever. It's probably a judgement based on the amount of work vs the amount of gameplay.

Almost certainly not, the only thing you will find on any future changes/updates/reworks to the game will be dev comments in streams or forum/reddit posts, when replying to questions. I don't think you will ever find anything more official than that. As far as i know no comments have been made about our moon in the last few years.

There was one a few years ago. The Moon in Elite is fully covered by cities and other installations and it won't be landable until that type of infrastructure is in the game.

There was a rumour that the Moon could never be done as there are very accurate maps and the present game engine can't handle it.

I knew about these theories but I wanted some link to the official statement or maybe some livestream because I've never seen this confirmed by anyone at FDEV so far.

We don't have official statements about legs, or atmospheres, or panther clippers, or anything else either.
I really don't recall, if the info about the Moon was here on the forums or on a stream - that was years ago... No clue where to search. But the question, why we could not land there was asked more than once, when Horizons launched.
I remember D. Braben saying on a stream that settlements would be the next logical step after Horizons though. Maybe that is season 4? Frontier is for sure quite familiar with filling large procedural cities with life, as they have demonstrated in the title "The outsider" (videos available on YT).
The Panther Clipper and Morray Starboat will be for LEP owners only. That was errr confirmed, yes... confirmed. (muahaharr)

Players have been asking this for years and years. And making the same speculations. Here’s an example from 2015. There’s lots more. As far as I can determine, there’s no official statement anywhere.
