Is there a fuel rats-esque service for ship repairs?

There are few guys on T9 with a full decontamination/repair/refuel/shieldrecharge suit. Since this was mostly an anti-thargoid need, you will find them mostly in Anti-thargoid discord groups.

Maybe The Decontamination Rats? (Ironic perhaps, in the light of The Black Plague).

Maybe they could Rename themselves to The Limpet Rats, maybe not so catchy?

This came up about a year ago and I think we were going to call it the rescue raccoons or something lol.
But, it didn't really take off, unlike the fuel rats, people can limp home with 1% hull.

The other idea was to form a sort of "support squadron" where basically you call on someone to play the support role in a thargoid fight. The problem with that was it was difficult to find people when you needed them, you'd really need a way to post a request looking for a support player that was within a certain distance from you. Again, unlike the fuel rats, people aren't going to wait an hour for someone to get to you.

I'm up for trying it though, I enjoy playing support in mood/moba games anyway. so if anyone wants to put something together I'll join (unfortunately we didn't really get off the ground when we tried a year ago, but maybe it would work better now).

Until they fix the wing bugs a dedicated support role is a non starter, anyone good enough to fight through wing bugs with an offensively gimped partner is also good enough to not need a support wingmate.
