Is there a manual anywhere?

I am just wondering if there is a manual made anywhere so I don't have to keep trying to figure out buttons and other items.

Thanks

Also, take a look at the Combat scenarios (=tutorial) in the game before you jump to the online universe. This, and taking a look at the control configuration page will get you far.

THANKS!!

Yup that is why I WANT the manual. I am getting hung up on these easy training missions. lol. Embarrassing but it HAS been 30 years or so :)

Before you jump in I'd watch some vids on you tube as well.

I think this one by Zeewolf covers a lot of things in one video :-

Travelling around, killing, earning bounties, stolen cargo, paying off your fines etc it also shows good piloting skills, aiming, using power management...these things are second nature once playing for a while but take note of what he is doing and you will learn a lot from one vid.

Worth a watch if your new to the current Beta for sure. Probably worth a watch to some who are not so new as well.

Ok...I am going through the training missions. Easy enough....

But tonight I decided to jump into online. Just to see everything.

Well impressive.

So I wanted to dock...well I cannot figure out how to even request clearance for landing. I cannot figure out how to see the galaxy map....Can't figure out how to SEE the side panels never the less active anything in the side panels.

I read the manual listed above...but dare I say I am STILL lost.

I don't mind complicated games...but maybe because it's a beta and no official manual is made yet, I am finding the lack of control and keystroke explanations a bit frustrating :)

Is there a thread on all of the controls, how to start, how to learn how to use everything....etc.

TIA

Depending on wether you are using a TrackIR or not - side panels should be available by pressing 1,2,3,4.

1 left, 2 comms, 3 centre, 4 right. Press the key again to dismiss.

The only problem so far is that Comms 2 will dismiss the contacts, but not the menu.

Depending on your controller - these may not even be default. On X52 Pro you have to pinky+hat to get to them, again unless you are using a TrackIR, in which case the keys won't work.

Other setups have different bindings.

A confusing situation I know :)
