Is there a planned release date for 2.3 yet?

Hi all,

Just wondering if there's a planned release date for 2.3 yet? I'm assuming it'll be around a month after launching the beta (which puts it about three weeks from now), but some of you might know more :)

I'm all set to get some new Engineer upgrades on sensors etc. when it goes live. I've been busy collecting the correct materials, and all my ships are sitting in dock close to the Engineer at Achenar, so they can all get the grade 5 treatment.

After that I'm off to transfer a Python and a Corvette to Colonia, and pootle around there for a while :)

They said in the livestream the other day that there's still no firm date. More to test in Beta etc.

(In theory some bonus stuff coming at launch too. But that's probably just aliens ;))

Sounds like a plan to me.

There's still a lot of beta testing to be done, and lots of bugs to report and iron out, so yeah, most likely there's going to be another beta patch or two before they announce release date. If I recall correct the PC version is going live the same day when PS4 version gets released. All we know so far is that it's going to be Q2 of 2017, so maybe in a month from now? That's my wild guess. [smile]

I was not sure the PS4 version was "guaranteed" to release at the same time as the PC 2.3 build release. I will be pretty happy if it is as I had always assumed we would get the PS4 version sometime later but that once it is released it will be in "lock step" as Sandy puts it with the PC version going forward.

Do you have a source? This could only delay the PC release. If that is so, my guess is end of April with a period of nearly two months of beta.

To be honest given that this beta didn't release with its headline feature (and when it did that feature was still a bit shaky) I doubt this will be a quick beta.

Personally I'd expect it to be after Elite meet Bristol (1st April) but not too long after. Maybe 1st or 2nd week of April. Thats just me spitballing based on previous beta and gut feel though. I also personally don't think the Devs have an exact timeframe in mind yet. Depends how well they track and solve the bugs and edits.
