Is there a problem Officer?

I have been noticing the past few days that cops are getting a bit more aggressive with the scans near stations. By that I mean going into the station with me. I don't have a problem with this as I'm just an honest trader, but I can see smugglers/wanted people getting a bit screwed over this.

On a side note, I enjoy how when you sometimes enter a stations from a SC drop, the cops all come from the same place. I guess it's been a slow day but as soon as I show up, it's back to work for them :T

At least they don't interdict you every five minutes anymore ... and the 'same place' thing sounds like a fresh instance was started for you, I imagine it's always like this in solo.

Not sure if this is the reason, but have you made sure to click the repair button and see that integrity and paint job is cleaned/fixed? I noticed a lot of people just click "repair all" in services but not actually click the repair button to enter the repair section. I know FD implemented more scans for dirty ships. Or at least that is/was the idea.

I always keep my ship in ship shape. I check the repair option every time I dock. Most of the time I just slowly watch as the bill adds up even at 100%.

Maybe they upped the cop activity then. :) And so far i havent seen any difference tbh having a clean/dirty ship. I get scanned everytime. Even though im friendly with them.

Allied with the station, one of the feds whizzing around smashed right into my Cobra as I was docking and blew itself up. No damage to my ship or legal consequences but still, pretty ridiculous. It's like you're invisible.

I hope not :)

Still unfriendly with the Fed, with a few friendly/neutral fed factions in my area, I only got caught smuggling a few times, its not fair - they pick on my enough already.

I hasten to add that comes across a lot more moany thant it is meant to - just read the first line.

I'm deemed Hostile in Federation. This has a benefit in that they tend to open up with guns without ever scanning me.
But I am target number one every time I enter or leave a station. If I'm not clinical about my entry/exit then I don't get away with an unscathed ship(at best), I usually get the shields knocked about a bit on leaving b4 SC/HS kicks in.

I think they should generally keep off the tinkering.

NPC ships seem a bit nerfed from earlier. They are less of a challenge.

I think the balance was fairly good beforehand. In my Cobra (with a few tweaks) I could handle all ships up to an Asp, but after that I could still win but often at the expense of a dented hull and subsequently dented credit balance. In cases where the NPC ship was large and the pilot deemed half reasonable, I had to run away. This is how it should be. When I've upgraded my ship a bit more I would expect to fair better in a fire-fight.
