Is there a problem with guest gates?

I set up a walkthrough habitat as a Lemur island. Guests cross a path bridge to get in and another one to get out - it's a loop. I have a guest gate on each but the guests aren't going through the guest gates. They just pile up at the end of the bridges and complain that they can't see the Lemurs. Why don't they go through the gates so they can walk through the habitat?

Yes, the path continues into the habitat. An image won't help because I have it so landscaped you can't see much. Basically, the path goes into one side of the habitat and out the other side - it's a continual path. Guest gates are there but aren't used. Guests are piling up outside both gates so the guests aren't getting into the habitat at all.

Without an image it’s difficult to see how you’ve set up the gates - all I can say is no, haven’t had or heard of the issue.

Overview of Lemur Island. The bridges are paths, the small one is the staff path

One of the guest gates from outside the habitat - the zoo is closed here but normally this bridge is crammed with guests right outside the gate

Same guest gate from inside the habitat - these guests were manually moved inside as a test

I manually moved a bunch of guests inside the habitat and closed the zoo. Here they are all screaming about being trapped - they can't get out

I have observed the guest gate open and close but no guest goes through from either side. Any ideas?

Well, I found a work-around but it won't work for many people. I am in sandbox mode and have animal escapes turned off so I just deleted the guest gates and replaced them with a piece of "null" barrier. Guest can walk through it and they do. I still can't figure out why the guest gates didn't work though.

Tough to tell but it looks like, maybe, the guest gate might not have been connected to the path (slightly odd connecting angles) Try adding them back again to see…?

Nah, they were definitely connected, it joined automatically to the path ends when I put in the gates. You can see the joins in the pics, I took one of each side for each gate. Anyway, I'm just going to keep it as I have it and not worry about it. I only ever play in sandbox mode anyway and it's kinda nice having it without any gate, I can make a nice decorative arch entry in and out of Lemur Island. I'm going to make the whole barrier null and just keep the landscaping since I have escapes turned off, it'll look nicer. I'm more interested in making a pretty zoo and having fun than realism :)

I don't have a picture with that name. If you mean 20220322172118_1.jpg it is connected - just 2 different path styles.
the 4 meter path is not connected to the wider path, otherwise you would see that on the edges. it has nothing to do with the different styles.

I really thought they were connected but I do see what you mean now. Anyway, it doesn't matter, I'm not going to use them anymore as the null barrier with escapes turned off is a much nicer setup anyway. But those who responded here are correct, there isn't anything wrong with the guest doors. It was my mistake.
