Is there a smart way to find high intensity ground combat zones?

I'm at the stage where I'm good enough at shooting NPCs in the face for low and medium ground CZs to be boring.

But I'm finding it really time consuming to locate high intensity CZs - I can find on Inara which factions are in civil war so which systems are likely to have conflict zones, but I spent about an hour flying around last night before finding a system with a high one.

Is there a clever way to locate them?

hm, well, you want systems with lots of planets to maximize the number of cz there would be, then go to the frontline and check all of them at once, i don't have a trick but haven't had trouble with it.

I mean, before you schlep up to the Frontline desk to find every damn CZ in the system is "low". Was just wondering if there was a third party way to find them.
Very good question, I haven't been able to find much of a method behind it either. Perhaps the higher the influence of the warring factions, the more chance they'll have High Intensity zones? It didn't feel like high population made much of a difference.

You don't need INARA. Go to your galaxy map, go to map mode, state and select WAR filter. You will see all Systems at WAR.

I've started to limit my search to high population systems in war. If I jump in and there's not a whole heap of planets with the war/combat icons, or a load of odyssey settlement, I move on without even bothering to check Frontline. The current CG system is pretty good - Azaladshu A 4 A has 4 high intensity ground CZ on the one planet.

In an ideal world there would be a way to figure out the intensity of the CZ from the system map without having to go to Frontline and check. If there is, I haven't managed to work it out: the threat level next to the settlement appears to be it's non-war threat, and nothing to do with the intensity of the current conflict at that site.

I wouldn't mind so much, but the only thing Frontline is good for is the cool factor of arriving on a dropship. Fun the first couple of times, but I can't be bothered with a drawn out shuttle ride for every 10 minute round in a CZ - way better to just fly there myself and re-log for each round (which is shame because arriving in a dropship of the faction you're fighting for is loads cooler than running though the front gate and picking a side).

Found the same thing too with regards to settlement threat levels. There doesn't seem to be any correlation there.

And yes, I don't know why there's no way (yet) to look up the intensity of CZs. I don't know either why the Frontline Solutions are for the local system only, they could use the same method as they use for Astra and send you to nearby star systems with CZs.

i've found plenty of them, i guess it depends by the system.

Actually current CG CZ have a couple (or 3? can't remeber) of them

Heavens to Murgatroyd! It's not about being able to find High CZs. It's about not having to go to FLS EVERY time or just toss darts and hope for the best.

I'm not saying it HAS to be that way either. ...just saying it would be a nice QOL enhancement.

Agree. Some consistency in UI and ways to search for these things would be great.

Probably goes for a lot of things in so-called 'new improved' galaxy map. Some of the previous methods to easily find things have kind of, vanished.

Hi everyone. Small update.

Thanks for anyone who voted for the bug to be fixed. Unfortunately, there weren't enough votes so Frontier expired the ticket :(.

If anyone else wants to create a ticket and gather votes, feel free to drop me a msg and I'll vote too.

I know, it's insane! How many do they need?

I'm a Senior QA Engineer for a living with 10 years experience.

I just need to report a bug once to a developer and even if they can't replicate it, as long as I've included videos / screenshots and a report then it will be fixed.

I understand with open sourced UAT like games, there'd be a few false positives but come on, surely even 3 is enough.

Sorry, end rant lol.

I'm surprised there isn't a top voted issue with this. It's really annoying in systems with no FS available, and even then, having to dock and see the FS UI to know the intensity of a ground conflict zone before you finally start heading to it isn't exactly efficient...
